Over 54 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
A beautiful calm swim over to Shelly Beach. Once we all gathered Michael Christie read the Ode followed by Greg McDonagh playing the Last Post on the trumpet as we all looked out to sea.
Greg learnt the Last Post especially for us today. You were fantastic Greg, thank you, it certainly made the morning complete and very special, thank you.
After a minute’s silence we all peacefully swam back to Manly.
The drizzle added to the ambience, it was a very touching swim, thank you everyone !
We also had a special visitor, as a beautiful big Eagle Ray swam past 🙂
Check out a new B&B on tour photo of John Masters in his B&B swimmers in Heron Island 🙂
And some photos from our night snorkel last night. The participants: Gaetan, Michel, Iain, Stephen, Lesley, Michael and myself were dutifully supported by Maureen, Amy, Chris, Tim, Linda and Iggy. Thanks guys 🙂

Very Nice Swim Today All,
Thank You!
For those of you who were wondering, Gaetan and I made it to the dolphins just off Queenscliffe. I had 1 minute of pure bliss as about 20 of them swum underneath me and then they headed off to curly.
Jogged back to the Wine Bar and my coffee was still warm so all in all a pretty good start to the day.
Going to join Greg and John Bond at the Steyne round 1 for a flutter of 2up, all welcome.

Excellent morning indeed, well done Greg and Michael!
Some bad news, I shot 3 videos of the dolphins at Queenscliff this morning but… there is nothing on my memory card except old videos. Weird thing is that we got back to Manly Wine with Iain and showed the videos to John and Anna who were there. By the time i got home, they had disappeared from my camera! Anzac day mystery 🙂
Some good news, here’s a video from our snorkel last night, it’s not exceptionnal, but interesting though 🙂

Lovely swim this morning. Thanks to Greg & Michael, a very special moment at Shelley.
Love the night vision from the Easter snorkel – beautiful colours.
Many thanks to Neil for accompanying me back from Shelley, without my flippers.

Enjoyable and memorable swim this morning – during our one minute silence on the shore of Shelly beach made me think of that small stretch of beach at Anzac Cove. Thanks to Michael,Greg and all swimmers for the rememberance ceremony.

Sincere thanks to Greg, for playing the ‘Last Post’ for today. It was beautifully done and Greg was dressed to suit the occasion.
Thanks to everyone for participating and for treating the occasion with the reverence it deserves. It was a credit to all of you and to B&B.

Michael check this out… according to Australian Museum, they are sea urchins…

“These urchins are extremely active at night and reefs can turn into a black swarming mass at night when as they move around looking for food”
