11 new swimmers, welcome to you all.
Nick the Brick’s two nieces joined us today from Warners Bay: Sophia and Tabitha along with Derek Minihane’s 7 year old daughter, Caroline. Great effort girls hope we see you all again soon.
We also had a lady from Wagga, Petrina, who learned of us through the article a couple of months ago in the Australian Men’s Health Magazine.
Our swim was absolutely teaming with marine life this morning. There were 29 dusky whaler sharks in one sighting, 2 flatheads, a fiddler ray, a giant cuttlefish, a yellow catfish, a school of large kingfish and schools and schools of tiny, tiny baby fish off the point.
Lovely social post swim activities which seemed extra popular today which is great.
Night snorkel off Shelly beach tonight if you’re keen: Bring snorkel, mask, flippers and underwater torch and meet us at the Shelly Beach boat ramp at 7pm tonight.
Has anyone gone home with a maroon Jansport backpack by mistake. If so please phone me ASAP as Derek lost his bag this morning.

ANZAC swim tomorrow morning. Gregie has been working very hard over the last couple of days and he has learnt the Last Post – fantastic effort Greg, thank you !!
Plan for tomorrow’s swim is:
– Regular swim to Shelly Beach at 7am
– Michael with read the Ode and Greg will play the last post whilst we stand looking out to sea whilst we pay our respects and remember
– After the proceedings above we will all swim back to Manly and have coffee / brekkie together.
