Two words – winter swimming

Two words – winter swimming
Winter swimming. When temperatures drop and the water is clear (except for when it isn’t).Today both these applied, and we had the added gift of seeing a pod of dolphins from the shore, heading North. Sue was extra lucky, she got to swim with them, and she came up the steps literally babbling with excitement (who wouldn’t?)Roz and Jim discussing the meaning of life while Ian looks on musingly, savouring his hot chocolateInstead of photos from me, here is a link to information about the Crayweed Project, sponsored by lovely long time swimmer Dorset Sutton. The photos supplied by Manly Mermaid LaineyCabbageTree Bay_Photobook_sm_eLately I’ve been thinking of the Beatles and their brilliant catalog of work. This song is credited to Lennon/McCartney as all the songs the wrote individually or collaboratively while in The Beatles. This one was written by John, with him doing the main vocals.Enjoy (or not) and have a great rest of the week.

Bring me your Cup

Bring me your Cup
Life’s a journey. We spend so much time dreaming about our destination, instead of looking out the window here and now. And you start realising that flow comes when you are present, where there is no past and its regrets, no future and its pangs of running late. Add a dash of swell, a swig of comradery, rainclouds lifting, and for 35 minutes the world stops turning. And when you’re empty I’ll fill you up. We’ll drink it down till the sun comes up.
