The westerly wind is blowing down the Corso but down in the south end of Manly it is nice a protected. Water is clear again today and slightly cooler.
Lots of whales about yesterday, there were reports of some great breaching exhibitions just off the Shelley car park. So if everybody could try making deep squeaking noises from the back of your throat when you are swimming maybe it would attract a curious whale to come in close 🙂

“Slightly cooler”….Hmm, my feet were numb when I eventually made it back after a detour out to sea, following the beautiful early morning sun on return. At least it meant Jonothan and I had the sunny changing room to ourselves:-)
Coming from Hong Kong, it is a bit of an adjustment, gorgeous as the sunrise and fish are. John suggested I might consider setting off an hour early to really appreciate the sights and get back with the Group!

For Stephen, Iain and anyone interested in the warm Hong Kong water swims, here’s a link to some very friendly, organised swims there.

We joined the first one recently from Repulse Bay and loved the experience (all thanks to the B&Bs for inspiration). As I was mentioning at b’fast, it was my first race of any kind in over 50 years! Learning that it’s just fine to enjoy coming last is a great help! Oh, and my B&B cozzy attracted lots of admiring comments:-)

Jules. I am very interested in your deep throat squeaking whale call. Maybe you could demonstrate before we swim tomorrow?

Hello Heidi
Jules is away for a few days so I am doing the blogs.
I thought I better clear that up before people start thinking Jules speaks “Whale” 🙂

thanks Jane – will see u there 4.30!
I think the temp will only really drop about another degree lower than today yeah? so not so bad! I felt the wind blowing choppy waves in my face on the way back. I go into a bit of a trance now after leaving Shelley in my semi-hypothermic state!
