Monday 17/8/26 9am IWT 17.3 OWT 15.
Cloudy, sprinkling and rain overnight so I was unsure, but reports from earlier swimmers was very good viz. I jumped in with the Skinny Dippers crew (black swimmers with sunflowers) and set off straight across the bay. The estuarine catfish was swimming around the point, and several port jacksons were on the sands out from the boatshed white boulders, off the point.
The big school of diamond fish was not on my path, but astonishing visibility across the sand, so clear!
Water is warm, and ocean fairly smooth once past the swell across the point, lovely swim.
We got into Shelly, the Ikuyo rolled up with the idea to go out to the boulders on Fairy Bower. There’s a decent swell, but four of us scooted over and saw several port jacksons there too.
But, the swim from the point back across the bay to the boat shed was simply stunning, so clear!
Numerous pj’s and a big ray of some sort, deep down but visible. My pj count for the swim was 17, so I’m rapt.
It’s been a great week for our little pocket with dolphins, a minke whale, cuttlefish, pj’s, wobbegongs, blue gropers, we are very privileged to swim here,

Cheers,
Kerrie x
