Morning all, seems Valentines day is here and for those that have a someone, I hope your wishes were well received.
To the day and a kinda cloudy mix today but thankfully cooler with a low tide and southerly swell at 1 to 1.5 meters on a 11 second swell mostly at the north ends of the beach but smaller for us. With winds at 11 knots from the ESE it was pretty nice in the water which is still 21.3.
We should see the swell drop to 1/2 meter by Thursday as the Northeaster kicks up and squashes this southerly swell.
Just a reminder to all, this is a Love Heart to mark the day from the very dextrous Peta Bird.
It doesn’t look that inviting but with the cooler temps it made it easier to get in the water.
Not too busy this morning, I would say about 265 with the 6am crew that is gaining in size this last few weeks.
The natter at the point seemed quiet but that was because many already thought they heard John lets go.
Seemed like a long way today with the Tardis bring some perspective to the distance.
And further without the zoom.
The was a bit of duck and weave round the Tardis today as she was moored quite close in.
And Shelly was particularly calm on the lower tide.
And they are off.
It darkened up on the way back.
And even more so on the South Steyne side.
Have a great day everyone and see you tonight if you are coming.

Saw 1 or 2 turtles this morning? Might have been the same one twice but others I was with think it was 2. My first sighting. Great Valentines gift from the ocean.
