19/02/2017 A cooler start to the day

February 19, 20174

Checking the weather app on the way to the swim stated there was a 60% chance of rain. Thankfully the rain held off for the 350 swimmers.

Lots of comments were made about the decrease in water temperature though! Concerns from the crowd regarding the cool 20.6, compared to recent temperatures this could be a challenge!

Looks like Storchy’s boot camp set-up. Although boot camp only runs during the week.

The photography students were out in full force, but they didnt get the smiley faces like below….

So lets see if I can get any of those arty swim shots.

First up the ‘Walk calmly down to the water’

“Stormy skies from sand level”

“The lone swimmer…

…finds her friends”

“The parade”

“Ramp action”

The water was lovely and calm, great conditions for our 20 newbies who joined us today. Welcome.

I’m loving the great swimsuits available these days. These ladies wear them so well too!

Happy birthday to Tom today, enjoying a splash or two.

I managed to spot the giant cuttlefish today who was superbly camouflaged as seaweed at first.

You’re right! I was a lone swimmer all the way to the bower break and back. 😜. And still haven’t seen the cuttlefish either. Nice day today 😍
