108 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Dolphins were frolicking off the point as we entered the water this morning !!! The dolphins headed out to the Bower so we dutifully followed, a handful of us got to see them just after we set off as the dolphins swam up to the outside markers to say a hello :-).
The Bower was spectacular, very clear water and beautiful big boulders interspersed with a variety of fish.
We then left the Bower on a lovely little wave and headed onto Shelly and back.
A lovely swim and the Bower detour was thoroughly enjoyed by all 🙂
Madlen Altstaedt saw another giant Cuttlefish and Peter Wood saw nothing again. Peter it may help if you open your eyes… 😉
Sheri Deacon and Peter Bowes get married today, 5pm at St Patrick’s in Manly 🙂

Sunrise 6.39am.

Julie said I need to comment, so here it is: There is one advantage in swimming slow, I see a lot. 🙂 Spotting the unusual makes my day! If Neil, my favorite swim buddy, would clean his goggles more often he would spot more fish as well. 🙂
Our friend Burkhardt was joining today and he will proudly take the pink cap to Singapore where he lives. He loved the swim and the good company of fellow swimmers. 🙂
I tried to practise what I learned at my swim instructions with Julie on Thursday, but a diving wetsuit is not the apropriate swim material. 🙂 I need an Orca suit. There is no better start of the day than a swim with B&B!

Great start of the day – how good was that dolphin group !!
First time with wetsuit – not really needed as the ocean side was nicely protected from that chilly wind. And the water is still so nice.
Let’s hope for some more dolphins and maybe some baby whales soon too?!

That’s what happens when you swim too fast.. stay at the back and you’ll see everything 🙂

At medium pace there was plenty of Garfish to see closer to the beach….great swim this morning, loved the wave at Bower and the fact that the sun still shines there, I may make that my new swim course.

Do these big cuttlefish you have spotted hang out anywhere in particular? I am slow and have clean goggles so am wondering why I am missing them……………..

Hi Gaétan,
the giant Cuttlefish was the highlight of my swim! I saw the usual suspects like Yellowtail swarms, Flathead, Dusky Walers and the like as well of course. 🙂

Hi Heidi,
I saw the giant Cuttlefish close to Shelley on the swim back when I usually swim at the left side. it was swimming above the seaweed. That was the second time I saw it there. So have a look. 🙂
