90 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
24 swimmers enjoyed a lovely Bolderdash this morning including the four distance demons; Brendan Maher, Cae Toleman, Gaetan Guilhon and James Goins who joined us at Queenscliff headland for the return journey after they set off extra early for their Freshie extravaganza, perfect water for it too.
Some gentle revenge was exercised upon Big Rick at Queenscliff as his friends got their own back on him with a good fun dunking…
We had a happy encounter on the way up too with a new marine creature… it seems that Nick The Brick has transformed into Nick the Surfie Dude. Looking good on that board Nick 🙂
We also enjoyed the entertainment provided by our support crew at the point this morning before we headed off to Shelly for a beautiful swim.
The water is warming up, a friendly little wave came to play and there was a big yellow thing in the sky, all in all it seemed to make for some very happy swimmers 🙂
Some fantastic photos from James Goins this morning, thanks James.
It’s party time… Our B&B Retro Christmas party is tonight !! Please come along and join in the fun from 7pm at the Steyne Hotel, upstairs in the private function room. The Steyne Hotel are generously providing us with party food and we buy our own drinks and boogie the night away with some great music from our very own DJ, Warwick Edman.
Yes, we are backing it up with our regular 7am swim tomorrow morning !! Plus the option of continuing on for our leisurely second summer 6km swim, hopefully to Freshie and back this week.
Heidi James is bringing a cake to Brekkie tomorrow morning too, to celebrate Ragnill’s Stallvik’s time swimming with B&B as sadly for us Ragnill heads back to Norway next Sunday afternoon, but don’t worry, Ragnill will be swimming to South Curly with us that morning for our Christmas Adventure Swim.
Tim’s fact of the day: “Walrus’ use their whiskers to feel around until they find food, then they blow to get the food loose or to make it move so they can get it. They need it to move, because they can’t get to it because of their tusks.”. We’ve got a couple more days of fascinating walrus facts still to come.

A placid arrival at Queensie this morning, just as the clock struck six.

I must confess that I was not one of the distance demons today, I “only” did Bolderdash. But I did try to make up for it by drifting out to sea on the way back!
See you all tonight

Omg yes I have! Thanks for the special mention Ian, I will celebrate this tonight 🙂
And Ian, you’re not far off the 200 km mark yourself, only a two or three more swims, eh?
