102 ticked Bold and Beautiful Swimmers
SO FLAT!! AND if you can believe it – it’s predicted to be even flatter tomorrow!

Michael off to take the temp…

Le BnB Scene at around 6.50am! And we had 6 new people today – pretty good for mid winter and a Wednesday!

Low tide….so a long walk out to the point – and so shallow, in fact….

Heidi ran a ground and hit rocks – Here she is trying to swim over them – wrong direction Heidi!!

There was a commotion on the swim out – a catfish was spotted! Looks a bit strange to me ;-D

I spotted a lone jimble….a bit lost without it’s mates! Sucked in Jimmie! 🙂

Throughout the swim there was all these bits! …planktony type stuff…Jane said on blog yesterday they were “Juvenile Salps”. I thought they looked like the inside of an aloe vera leaf…. there were HEAPS at Shelly – see below pic… Harmless though – In fact I swallowed some! :-O

SO CLEAR!!!!

Some fish!

And I saw these little guys – about the size of my thumb – swimming about nr the surface… Not sure/can’t remember what they are?

3 People including John Bond and Michael did a double and then Michael and John went on for a TRIPLE!! Crayzzeee!! 🙂
WHAT A SWIM!!!! Even though it was cold everyone was in no rush to get out… and same again tomorrow! See you then! 🙂
We made it on Sprout Daily http://daily.sproutdaily.com/

Lesley, as a fellow jimble magnet (and long-torsoed chick), I’m loving the ‘Sucked in Jimmie!” comment! See you all tomorrow…

Don’t you just hate it when your phone is so dumb it repeats itself.

Hi Lesley – I think the “little guys the size of your thumb” are Smooth Toadfish (Tetractenos glaber). I’m at the OzMus tomorrow so I’ll check ID with Mark. I think he’ll be interested in the catfish with the googly eyes too. I can’t find it in my texts………
