59 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Now that’s how we like it, Manly is back !!
Gorgeous conditions with beautiful skies and calm water. The water temperature is on the way down but the visibility is clearing as we saw one of our sharks close into Shelly Beach 🙂
There is still a bit of seaweed around and James Goins took two beautiful photos this morning, number two and three.
We may well feature on Sprout Daily again today as Murray was sitting on the sand photographing us walk through the parting of the seaweed as we entered the water this morning. To check out Sprout Daily’s photos click here.
Dolphins and whales are around at the moment. There was a pod of dolphins playing at Manly yesterday arvo and whales off Sydney heads, hopefully they will be at Manly at 7am tomorrow !
A few stingers around too though 🙁 check out the photo of my neck from this morning and Lee’s arm
from yesterday – ouchie 🙁
An update on the current watermelon effect: Shelly beach to sunshine is now 152 of Stephen Coulters strokes with no wetsuit and no flippers.
Happy birthday to Madlen Altstaedt today 🙂
Jill Bunyan from the UK commented on our facebook page yesterday, it was great to hear from Jill who swims with her friends in the Isle of Man open water swimming group in the Irish Sea, where apparently it never gets above 14 or 15 degrees in the water :-(.
Check out our B&B Facebook page by clicking here to chat with Jill, Jax and some of our other international friends… Hopefully we’ll be able to do a ‘swim exchange’ and swim together sometime soon 🙂
Oh and while you’re on our B&B Facebook page, please ‘like’ us while you’re there, thank you 🙂

The water is getting clearer indeed!! The sunny, flat conditions look set to last for at least a week. It will be chilly [and how] tomorrow, but the water will still be great.

Ben,
I think a few coffees will suffice after reading this in the SMH:
