88 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Oh my gosh, the conditions are just superb at the moment !! It feels like a European summer right now, it’s just magnificent π
A beautiful large numb fish and a flat head were there to greet us at Shelly.
~8 swimmers made the most of the morning by doing a double lap, dutifully led by David Adams.
We currently have a channel that we have to cross as we enter the water, but then we have a ~100m sand bank to walk on as we head out to the point.
A couple of great B&B on tour photos from our traveling friends:
– Robin Turner walking Hadrains Wall in the UK.
– James Goins at the Seattle Space Needle.
– Gaetan Guilhon in NZ but he forgot his pink cap, how could anyone forget their pink cap, honestly π
If you are free tomorrow afternoon please come and join some of your fellow B&B swimmers for drinks from 4pm at the Sable Bar, above the Charlie Bar at the Manly Pacific, it can double up as a little farewell get together for the B&B Dardanelles on tour group and Iain McGregor for his Channel Swim Crossing π

I had my cap but did not dare to put it on not be identified as an australian… too risky when NZ is playing Australia tonight π
Good snow and good ski, sunny here too, but I do miss my daily swim, 5 degrees water in the lakes is a bit too cold for me π
When are the Dardanelles swimmers off to Europe? See you on monday!
PS: damn Australia lost again….

Just in after walking 20km of today’s 22km in the pouring rain on the Hadrian’s Wall Path. Not that I am complaining much BUT I don’t think I would have got as cold or wet on our morning swim. Hoping for better weather tomorrow.
Missing the B&B swims now that I am away as well.
Iain I loved your reminiscences of the Steyne back in the day.

Congratulations on your first blog comment Rob. Β Jane was just saying at coffee how surprisingly pleasant the weather looked in your on tour photo as it usually rains… π
