Over 53 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Lovely swim this morning, so clear, beautiful and jam packed with marine life. There was a big ball of small stripey catfish strangely imitating a large rock on the bottom half way across. Whenever i’ve seen them before they have been floating in random formations but I’ve never seen then on the bottom before 🙂
Check out page 16 of The Daily Telegraph today, our very own Wilf Deck is about to take part in his 110th triathlon. Go Wilf, to see the article on line please click here
Balmoral have a great swim this Sunday whereby they raise money for the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia. It is a 1km Harbour swim followed by a 250m swim for junior teams, then a team relay challenge. A great swim especially if you are a little anxious of the surf as there won’t be any :-). Attached is also a photo of Neil Cowin “B&B on tour ” swimming across Lake Hayes in NZ, there are more great shots on our website 🙂

The water conditions were beautiful again this morning – clear with plenty of fish at the point – also ideal for a board paddle. Good photo of Wilf at the Opera House – good luck in your 110th triathlon on Sunday.

Kelly, Attracta, Sarah and I swam a bit later in the morning and counted to over 60 shark sightings as we swam closer in by the walkway. It’s absolutely teeming.
Also witnessed eight kingfish chase a large school of yellowtail scads, some old wives apart from ourselves and trillions of tiny fish everywhere. What magic!

Maybe you need to lend them your abacus Nick TB… 🙂 60 !!!! Are you serious ? That’s unreal and amazing 🙂 Is that like double dipping… i.e. you saw 6, Attracta saw the same 6, Kelly saw the same 6, Sarah saw the same 6 so that equals 24, then you took a breath and each saw the same 6 and so it goes…. ???

60!!!!! I didn’t see any and I was really looking. I saw all those other things though— ie trillions of tiny beautiful fish on the reef.
