62 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Whilst most people were still snuggled up indoors we were all feeling very chuffed with ourselves that we had got up and at it. Rain, hail or shine you never regret it once you’ve finished. It’s always worth getting out of bed for even on these dreary mornings 🙂
The boys looking on ‘in awe’ at Ricky showing us how big and brave he is… and Lutz doing his mid way stretches 🙂
Stephen couldn’t swim this morning but he was still up and joining in with his camera and umbrella. Thanks for these great photos Stephen. In the third photo you can see Stephen crouched down on the sand at Shelly taking one of these photos 🙂
Some fun waves at the end causing lots of laughs. Especially when Jenny landed on top of Bernie… what a friendly lot we are 🙂
My sensational new Garmin watch, that you guys so kindly and generously bought me for my birthday, arrived yesterday – I love it, thank you very much 🙂 I swam with it this morning and it tells me that I swam 605 strokes (one stroke is measured as each right arm stroke), 1.37km and for 31 minutes and 47 seconds – check out the links below to see the output (there’s a link top right to change the view to metric)… cool hey !! 🙂

Yeh weird I know… I have it set to metric in my watch, but it seems when you click on the link it must default to miles. There is a link at top right “click to view metric” that changes it for you so it makes sense 🙂
There might be something I can do from within to stop that happening, still learning…

Oh yes, fantastic! We all have a birthday this year and we’re all going to want a Garmin now! Maybe we should put in an order for pink Garmins for family and friends to “select” for us! !

1.37km!?! I thought it was 1.5km to Shelly and back!?! ;-D
With a top speed of 16.6 km/h Jules! And good to see the depths at the different points – looks like 10 metres is the deepest we go over, is that right?
yeah i want one now too!

you lot all stay with kilometres please. Miles is special and reserved for other stuff like names and Scrabble.
And I can’t see Stephen on any of those photos Jules. Is that him next to the binbag? Oh hang on, he is the binbag.

What’s up with all these complaints about miles…I don’t seem to have any problem with miles 🙂

The Garmin is very impressive. If you click the satellite image you can see all the rocks and fish. It looks as though you swam straight but not using the shortest line. And sometimes very fast.
Thanks for putting Bruce’s party invitation up.
