BOLD & BEAUTIFUL IS NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING DUE TO THE IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL DISTANCING AND STAYING INSIDE AS MUCH AS IS POSSIBLE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19).
Following the crazy winds and gigantic waves of late, this mornings calmness was welcomed by many. Water temperature was around 17 degrees (not going to lie, it felt VERY fresh as you got in) and despite it being dirty and murky at the start from the recent storms, it was otherwise a gorgeously smooth start and stunning sunrise.
First and foremost, welcome to this one for featuring in the blog for the first time!
Smiles were plentiful this morning with the return of the calmer conditions:
JAZZ HANDS TIP for those with swimming wetties… wear gloves to avoid poking a finger through the fabric!
Massive fan of pals swimming together and the uggs that keep us warm pre and post swim:
Capturing the post swim glows:
Not sure why this lovely fellow is called ‘the pest’ but it doesn’t seem to affect his popularity!
And last but certainly not least, wishing Penny the very happiest of years ahead!
Happy birthday Penny and hump day to all!

Thanks for the blog Petra; i think i got stung by a jimble today :(. Sudden pain across the bridge of the nose – quite different to a jellyfish, where I always feel the feeling of a hair on my skin and then the sting starts. It has left a welt surrounded by red, but at least it doesn’t hurt any more…. Lovely swim otherwise though!

Yep, that what it was like – I had this immediate, unthinking reaction of stopping and ripping off my goggles – they hadn’t caused it, but were the closest thing to the site of the pain! It’s calming down, hopefully won’t jump out in this evening’s zoom meeting :).
