Wednesday 19th of August – going the distance

August 19, 20202

BOLD & BEAUTIFUL SWIM GROUP IS CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING DUE TO THE RISKS OF CORONAVIRUS(COVID-19). IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE PHYSICAL DISTANCING AND FOLLOW PUBLIC HEALTH ADVICE.

Thank you for swimming at different times of the day and please continue to stay safe and  remember to maintain 1.5m distance. Please read management notices at the end of the blog.

It’s hard to capture all of the reasons why we swim – physical, mental, awe of mother nature, love of marine life and many, many others… For the lucky of us, it is a way of life. Today’s blog is dedicated to all of the happy souls you meet at the swim and a special call out to the legends who have achieved great distances:

Massive congratulations to Sue with 5,000 km!

7,000km also achieved today by an amazing lady who sadly this blogger only caught looking away!

Speaking of distances, there is one B&Ber who travelled 500k to be here today!

Nothing quite like the camaraderie of setting off together:

Followed by the utter joy of being in the water (15.9 degrees today but felt warmer!):

Mid wave magic:

Halfway Shelley smiles:

And last but not least, the post swim glow once complete:

Happy hump day all!
