Over 112 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Pure bliss is about all that needs to be said for this morning’s swim ! With stunning weather and superb water we have the whole damn lot 🙂

The water temperature has climbed back up and is lovely, but… the wetsuits seem to be here to stay 😉

A quick stretch before the return lap… 😉

Followed by the perfect wave to cruise back to shore !

Sam Evans, just back from holidays, arrived before sunrise this morning to make the most of the early bonus lap at 6.30 and was greeted by a candy floss sky with a puff of cloud surrounded by pink, hence the inspiration for today’s blog title, thanks Sam and good to have you back 🙂
18 swimmers enjoyed an early start this morning, with 6 heading north and 12 enjoying an extra lap into Shelly, 4 people also continued on after the regular swim for their third glorious lap.
Little beknown to me Jonny Schaffer organised a round robin amongst you guys to replace my deceased underwater camera. This was such a surprise which you certainly didn’t need to do, but of course, it is most sincerely appreciated, thank you so very much indeed !! The pressure’s back on for good photos now 😉 xxx
The Sun Herald are writing an article on us, as part of this they’re sending a photographer down to capture our morning swim tomorrow from 6.45am, so please come down and join in to help make our swim the great spectacle that it is.
The Saxon Bird Memorial Swim is also on tomorrow at Queenscliff, a 1.5km ocean swim & a 250m dash for cash. The event starts at 10am and entrants must be registered at Queenscliff SLSC by 9am. Craig Susans the president of Queenscliff SLSC has extended a personal invite to B&B to join in in our pink caps… Plus, if you arrive tomorrow morning with your pink cap (after our Sun Herald photo shoot of course) and mention B&B they will waive the late fee for you.

Tomorrow a few of our swimmers are looking forward to a swim up to Dee Why and back. I don’t know how but the conditions are predicted to be better than today… so it should be magnificent.
On Sunday morning there are a few swimmers keen to continue on for a cycle up to North Head straight after the swim, followed by a little jog before brekkie. Please feel free to join in as much or as little as you would like, the more the merrier.
Look forward to seeing you all in the morning for the team photo and a beautiful swim !! 🙂
