30/11/2011 – Multi Levels

November 30, 201116

53 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

5 hardy souls, Gaetan Guilhon, Gavin Skinstad, James Goins, Miles Tollan and Roberto Suares all endured a roller coaster Bolderdash whilst Annette Willows and Maureen Rath braved an early half way swim in the name of team work… as a blue bottle check for the rest of us 😉

We got the all clear so off we went, with around two thirds of swimmers tackling the surf and the rest of us sensible souls cross training with a gentle stroll to half way beach before we got wet 🙂

Miles Tollan is note worthy this morning as he is the only swimmer to swim both Bolderdash and the regular swim, you could tell at coffee too as he was the one shivering.

Neil Cowin doesn’t go unmentioned either as he is the first B&B swimmer to break the 300km mark on our Pacific ChallengeFantastic Neil, keep on swimming !!

You will also notice that Magnus Butlin as updated our daily attendance graph ready for the 6km and 10km badge swims which will also count towards the Pacific Challenge, now’s your chanch to leap ahead of your friends…

Magnus has also updated Michael’s daily water temperature icon to refect today’s temp and there is a new graph within there too…

Thanks heaps Magnus, it all looks fantastic !!!

A few great photos interspersed from James Goins.  Gotta love the super happy photo of Miles, James and Gaetan up at Queensie.

Don’t forget tonight… our monthly Manly Wine sponsored Nibbles, look forward to seeing you there from 6.30pm.

Budgy Smuggler have come up with a new bikini top for us… which I wore this morning as you can see below.  If you guys like it we can add it to our repertoire so the ladies can mix and match their two piece tops.  Please let us know what you think…  If you would like one let me know and I will get some.

Talking of Budgy Smuggler they’ve created these two videos, they’re pretty fun – I think you’ll like them !!  The B&B cossies even makes an appearance in the first one which supports the Cancer Council, watch closely as so does one of our B&B swimmers…  Jenny Menzies 🙂  and Mr Budgy Smuggler himself features in the second one.

Bringing Budgies Back

… Let’s do a B&B video it looks like so much fun 🙂

A couple of our holiday swimmers are sadly leaving us to go back to good old Blighty.  Safe travels to Robert Laier and Guy Woodhouse, hope to see you both on your next trip.

Tim’s fact of the day: “Father catfish keep the eggs in their mouth until they are ready to hatch and don’t eat until then, which may take several weeks.”

Update from Alex: he is recovering well and is looking forward to heading home today 🙂

Happy Birthday to Kieran Kelly today.

Little Manly Beach in bits of the second video. Funny, young women in bikinis don’t offer to put sunscreen on me when I go there. Maybe I should wear my pink budgies.

Nice bikini top, looking good. Great photos of the Fearless Five Bolderdash Boys. Feeling seasick just watching the video James.
Lovely early swim from halfway with Annette, the ocean was clear of any stingy things, HOWEVER, as we came ashore, there in front of us was a BIG, DIRTY BLUEBOTTLE. Oooops!!!!
