However you woke this morning you were glad you did today! Around 240 swimmers woke, one way or another to enjoy the 20.1 degree, jimble- free water. Here’s one swimmer who was especially appreciative and very much appreciated today. A double celebration today for Rob Hawkins; his 65th birthday and 1000km swim! Congratulations Northbridge Rob!
Now this little tacker needs no alarm, 7 year old James lives across the road from the surf club- here he is playing in his back yard.
And Handstand Sam’s finely tuned body clock gets him down to the beach and up on to his hands.
Here’s a guy who’s got it sorted; his electric blinds open when its time to wake up so he can cycle along the beach to join the B and B. Well done Rich, what a guy, what a find!
Birds, chimes, ripples and ABC radio wakes this happy bunch, ready to join the 6.30 swimmers.
Chris’ wife was cold and woke him in time to join music- alarm- waker Bernie for a swim.
B and B legend John Bond needs no alarm, nor does friendly Fiona.
Drinkie just “jumps out of bed” to join body- clocker Greg and alarm- setter Sarah.
One of the seven newbies, Jill, wakes to a meditation alarm.
Another birthday- happy birthday lovely Jan, seen below with Trevor who woke to the sound of rain on the carport.
Simon (alarm) and Carel (birds) on their way out.
Body clock Paul had a big post swim smile.
Rozzie and Annie positively glowing post swim- very grateful to the local fauna.
Chris also glad the birds woke him early.
However you did it- aren’t you glad you did?! – you never regret a swim!

Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits. Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company. Do read these excellent tips on staying safe in the surf. To read, or even download, click here.

Where the “bitch-slapped by the only jimble in the bay” option?
All good though. Any day started with sunrise surrounded by nature is a good day. 🙂

The final of this story is that Rob has a mental problem that is only available to people who are gay, in the end he is a gay which no one new, in the end he has died, what he did was to curse ma because he did not want him, then he cursed himself for another love called Nadia, in the end she died, what we found out was that at the end of it all, Nadia is not alright with it all and has called Rob another friend, in the end the two cousins where marrying the same bloke according to Ray who was spelled to love her in a court yard that the father took her too to organize a better life ahead, in the end the better life ahead was to kill her with his knife and torture her which he thought he did but had a hand grenade given to him to sort himself out by his wife who was in love with the girl in the mind but not psychically in the end they all where out of it and took drugs in the end to call it quick’s, that is what Ry did, what happened to ma is that rob decided at some point to love her, but she could not here due to the fact the she was subjected to it, now the story is that ma and rob are together in the mind which gets rid of 12 items, 21 billion people dead, what happened then the only women in the room was Nadia and Ma in the end which turned out to be another fiasco, because ray and Nadia where not an item they were just using her. the story of rob and ma is okay now.
