95 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
7 people tackled the early Bolderdash meanwhile Timberlie was taking beautiful sunrise photos for us. They’re stunning Tim, thank you.
The waves were pounding in, so for the 7am swim the majority of swimmers took the sensible option and walked around to half way beach for a fun swim to Shelly and back which was entertaining enough… check out Stephen’s ‘splashing’ photos below…
Plus some dramatic photos of the BIG waves off the point from Gaetan along with a captivating video of some swimmers going out through the waves… to watch it click here
Brendan did both swims and as he was swiming to Shelly today’s blog title came to him… very appropriate it is too, thanks Brendan 😉
Thanks to Miles’ mum for the mince pies and to Peter for the left over Christmas cake at brekkie 🙂
It’s our birthday tomorrow !!! Bold & Beautiful turns 3 !!! So please feel free to bring cakes to Brekkie to help celebrate our collective birthday after the swim.
We are currenlty sitting at 2034 participants and it was only 2 days ago that we broke through the 2000 🙂
Tim’s fact of the day: “Pacific Ocean is the largest, the deepest as well as the oldest ocean in the world.”

7 people for Bolderdash, more like 6 as I did not make it out through the waves and turned back for a well deserved coffee and sunbath break at the point waiting for the guys to come back 🙂
Well done to Anne Edwards, Brendan, Richard Agius, Miles and Mark Allan (I forgot who the 6th person was, Len perhaps?) for making it through, it was huge at 5:50 with the low tide!
Tim wonderful pics of the sunrise, that wax figure of Iggy looks so real! 🙂
Stephen, very coll pics at the Bower, it makes it look so dramatic!
Same swell height tomorrow morning but with southerlies, hopefully a bit more welcoming than today!
Anyone for a 5:50 swim perhaps?
