60 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers.

The swim had a few big waves, well done Vicki for the boulderdash and coming in through the big waves. Tim and Sandy were out paddling on a board. The water was slightly colder lots on warm patches.
The Longest Ocean Swim was on Thursday October 14, 2004. Australian Susie Maroney swam a record 197 km (122 miles) from Mexico to Cuba. That is the Queenscliff and Shelley swim 44 times.

Thank you Tim and Sandy for watching over us all the way to Queenscliff and back and well done on getting those boards back thru those waves..what a challenge.
As for that Susie Maroney…she can have it!

How about we try and get 44 swimmers for a Queenscliff to Shelley swim, and make that our own record?

It was like a washing machine out there. I think I am cursed on the Bolderdash swim…what is it with the big swell and waves when we get back to Manly! And then I was sucked out by the rip and nearly fin-chopped by a young surfer…awesome morning!!!

I’m envious! Stuck in England with -2 degree weather and the worst is yet to come! Wish I had the ocean to jump into, I’m not courageous enough to go swimming here! Well done guys!
