22/04/2011 – Ultra Beautiful, Great Friday :-)

April 22, 20116

Over 164 Bold & Beautiful swimmers. With over 30 first timers, welcome to you all 🙂

What a spectacular swim it was this morning and a new record at that, our largest ever turnout for a regular swim, magnificent 🙂

A stunning sunrise followed by lots of action in the water too: pink splashing humans and plenty of them, dusky whalers in a feeding frenzy on a dead cuttlefish, a beautiful fiddler ray as captured in Stephen Coulter’s photo attached, a turtle, a yellow catfish, lots of blue groupers and an enormous kingfish about a metre in length 🙂

Great photo of Stephen’s of a thumbs up swimmer yesterday and also a lovely photo on Sprout Daily of us yesterday too 🙂

There is a group swimming from Manly to Dee Why tomorrow after the regular 7am swim. If you’re keen, please bring a bag with clothes and money that you would like someone to take to Dee Why for you.

Water Temperature 22.6 degrees.
Sunrise 6.23am.
Sunset 5.25pm.
High Tide: 11.45am.
Low Tide: 5.15pm.

Great swim today and terrific photos…but I am missing a long swim for Easter…anyone else feel the same?
So on Saturday 22/4 we will do our first MANDEEY swim – Manly to Dee Why, leaving Manly around 8am.
If you would like any bags delivered, they can be picked up at 7:30am and they will be at Dee Why after 10am.
Breakfast afterwards at Dee Why, any suggestions?
MSW forecast looks good – 2 foot swell from the south – but BOM advises possible coastal showers

Please post an entry if you are interested in joining us. Usual headcount procedure will apply 🙂
