Melissa’s secret is not thinking about anything…being happy to see Shelly beach….and to swim with someone
Clare says just keep your arms moving quickly and to the rhythm of music in your head
Michael’s secret is to ‘cheat and to get in the wake of a speedster…’ (editor note: is this all to do with getting extra oxygen from the bubbles theory?)
Bernard and Amanda reckon the secret to going fast is “gliding, rotation and sighting” (editor note: they sound like professionals!)
Trevor, Karl and Mark say you need to look like you know what you’re doing…even if you don’t…in fact especially if you don’t (our kind of guys!)

Thanks Emma & inner westie hipsters. In my experience, another thing slowing you down is mid-swim selfies. So worth it though.

Great post Inner Westies. Personally Im happy to stay dry and drinking hot coffee and cheering you on from shore….promise I’ll do that one day. Can I ask, has the member for Warringah joined you yet….red budgies and all???
