79 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
The magic of winter swimming has arrived, it was just lovely out there this morning, the water was beautifully clear and full of fish.
It was the most spectacular swim according to Linda Goodwin :-). There were lots of sharks and huge schools of luderick and yellowtail just to mention a few…
Stephen Coulter noticed that the big seas have revealed some new nude rocks out past the point !
Check out Poppy’s new jacket, how cute, she really feels part of the group now. Poppie will be sporting this at the Scotland Island’s dog swim in December, will she have the company of some of our other B&B dogs 🙂
First four gorgeous photos courtesy of James Goins today 🙂
It’s been snowing until last week where Madlen Altstaedt and Sven Peter’s are in Europe and Madlin has been swimming with no
wetsuit. Sven says the water is freeeeeeeezing so Madlin wants to know if she qualifies for a tick or three towards her winter badge 😉 There is
photographic evidence, check it out below – go Madlen, very impressive !!! 🙂
There are also some fantastic B&B on tour photos from Gerd Bernhard in Germany, they’re great, thanks Gerd ! Two are attached below, but plenty more can be seen on the B&B on tour website by clicking here
There is an open water photography exhibition on at Manly Arts Festival from 2-18th September 2011, Angela would like to encourage people to submit their photos of B&B 🙂
It is open to professional & amateur photographers who are capturing the beauty of ocean swimming in photography. Photographers capture the wonder and beauty of old and young conquering the oceans in different weather conditions, which has B&B photos written all over it. Check it out by clicking

Excellent swimming conditions today, just great to be out there and nice to see plenty of fish again. Madlen does deserves a tick or two for maintaining her swims in those icy conditions.

So many cool pics today! 🙂
Looking at Gerd’s picture, that reminds me of Collie with the Police car or Michael in CDG Airport. I always wonder when a B&B will make the news headline for “indecent exposure in a public place” :-))
Also Mitch sent me a link of a video of the B&Bs in the surf this week in the news:

We’re in the US actually and the picture was at Lake Tahoe.
I recon it was 13 degrees or so. Madlen said she was quite numb after getting out of the water 🙂

Oh yes you even told me that, sorry.
I bet Madlen was numb and that would have been after the ice cream headache !

Well done Madlen. Better you than me. I couldn’t see Sven in the Picture? I presume he had some sense and was operating the camera.

Very hardy! The Norwegian Fjords are beautiful and clear but too nippy for me, especially without my wetsuit – never swim without it 🙂

That is correct Michael! Sven put hardly a toe in that water. I must admit it was one of the coldest water I ever swam in. 🙂
