49 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

If you chose this morning to be a doonah morning with all the drizzle you really missed out – sorry…  It was a superbly beautiful swim with everything so absolutely still and quiet.  It was like taking a tropical aquarium and pooring it into an inland proctected pond this morning.  Magic swim !!

Kim Macdonald swam with his GPS under his swim cap and has kindly shared his route with us, see the last photo below… cool hey !

Izzy and Cathie were the beautiful subjects of some underwater shots this morning 😉

It was great to see Debbie Long and Magnus Butlin tag team baby Charlotte so they both could have a swim one way and we got to sing happy birthday to Debbie and have cuddle time with Charlotte at brekkie 🙂  Happy birthday Debbie !!

Tomorrow is going to be just as flat with a bit of sun… don’t sleep in, it’s divine right now, plus there’s still some whales around… so you never know… tomorrow could just be a whale day 😉  How about you join us for a Bolderdash at 5.50am tomorrow morning too !!

6 people enjoyed a blissful ultra early swim to Freshie and back, leaving Manly at 5.30am this morning, we can share a little part of their swim through James Goins two early photos, thanks James.

Anna Alvsdotter has kindly invited Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguireto and their crew to swim with us, check it out online at the Manly Daily here  I’m sure they won’t be able to resist a pleasant dip with us in these totally peaceful conditions.

Tim’s fact of the day: “Octopuses jaws are as tough as a parrot’s beak.”

Hi Kim, great seeing your GPS track! Which one did you use – where/how did you attach it and what distance was it?

    Gday Stephen
After years of frustration in tri’s with the GPS losing signal on the arm I stick it under the swim cap and it works great. It’s a Garmin 305 and I use SportsTracks freeware to get the overlay on Google.
Distance today was 1.32 but the tide was quite low so I’m guessing it’s usually closer to 1.5.

Thanks Kim, I’ve been looking at the new Garmin 910 which has an open water swimming mode! PS. Does GPS effect the brain that close 🙂

Dearest James, love you to bits, but I think your visit to the optometrist is loooong overdue, ha ha!
Love swimming ‘in the pink’ now like the rest of ya’s, but for the bolderdashes I tend to slip back into my beloved wetsuit. Yeah!

5.30am Freshie 4km swim is on tomorrow apparently, should be the right timing to catch us with the bolderdashers at Queensie around 6.30am.
Leonardo is joining us at 5:30 🙂

If Team BB (that’s Bulk Buy) can wait until end of January I’ll be heading to the USA and can pick up a shipment saving on $’s and/or shipping. Otherwise – who can wait that long 🙂 ?
