97 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful
swimmers and sooo many brilliant photos.
27 people including a few first timers; Aelwyn Norton, Bob Peterson, Gab Stokes, John Lonergan and Leonie Tonner enjoyed the beautiful Bolderdash to Queenscliff and back this morning with the sand, fiddler rays and magjestic sunrise for company.
88 individuals have swum Bolderdash in the last 2 weeks and 410 individuals have swum Shelly in the last 3 weeks – now that is amazing !
Timberlie didn’t make for a Bolderdash swim but he was up early, on the rocks with Linda and Iggy… taking spectacular photos for us this morning; the first four are courtesy of Tim, now that is some kinda sunrise, brilliant photos Tim, thank you !
The next two lovely photos are courtesy of Stephen Coulter; Dave at Dawn and Swell Times at Queensie.
Our regular 7am swim to Shelly and back was lovely with lots of large flatheads, wobbegongs, dusky whalers, catfish and Michel Le Vieux saw an eel !!!
It’s all happening out there, we’ve got all kinds of beautiful visitors swimming with us at the moment, if you’re not swimming at the moment you should be it’s just perfect 🙂
A great photo of our B&B boys; Alex Prendergast, Collie Kinsela and Ben Hutt at the start of the Lake Burley Griffin swim in Canberra yesterday, and they brought us home some medals too, with each of them finishing brilliantly, with a 2nd in the Men’s 50+, and a 7th and 4th in the Men’s Open. Well done guys !!
Some fabulous
photos below from Gaetan’s snorkelling yesterday afternoon where he found us a new shark; a blind shark which he believes is the same as the dead one he found with a hairband around it a few months ago. Fantastic that you found a live one Gaetan, I hope we see more of him.
That brings us to 4 sharks in our bay; the Wobbegong, Port Jackson, Dusky Whaler and now the Blind Shark – beautiful.
Watch out for our very own Bruce Paterson, our most senior swimmer on Manly Surf next sunday at 4.30pm on Channel 9.
Tim’s fact of the day: “A starfish can grow a whole new body from just one arm.”
Water Temperature 22.3 degrees.
Air Temperature 20.0 degrees.
Sunrise 5.45am.
Sunset 7.35pm.
High Tide: 10.58am.
Low Tide: 5.37pm.

Thank you Maureen for the beautiful B&B bib! It is adorable, Brigitte is looking forward to wearing it very soon, and she also said she can’t wait to try all the yummy B&B goodies at coffee.
Well done to the boys in Canberra, great effort!
Great photos this morning, thanks Tim and Stephen.
I don’t think I can swim anymore if there are eels around…ok about the sharks. However, eels – NO!

Are your Blue friends from the North East coming too?
If not Linda and Anne may make an appearance, maybe me too.

Wind should be southeasterly, very low swell and SUNNY. So it should be an excellent morning to do it.
Sea temp this morning was 22c and there were no blue things.
SHOULD BE GREAT IN THE MORNING.

Wow – I was impressed that Gaetan spotted and identified the blindshark. The wobbegong is gorgeous – it must be a female, she looks as if she is wearing her fashionably floral summer dress!
