46 Bold & Beautiful Swimmers. Challenging conditions – large surf, very choppy & messy. A few people went to & from Half Way which was pumping – a few injuries to prove – cuts from the rocks and bruises from the ladder…! Christy chose today to try without fins – and survived! Sam our youngest also took on the adrenalin swim. Well done to all

Well I think mother nature herself was sending me a subtle reminder today not to forget that I am a land dweller!!! But I am impressed with myself for floundering through the surf…

that was the toughest surf we’ve been out in as a group I think. Amazing really, as Andrew said ‘a year ago there would have been two people out there’. So everyone has certainly got a lot braver but not foolhardy either. The surf was 2.8m today and is tipped to be twice that by Friday. So maybe there’ll be a couple more starting at half way beach for a few days??
