80 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
4 people enjoyed an early Bolderdash which we can enjoy vicariously through Gaetan’s beautiful early photo.
How warm is the water right now !! It’s jumping up a degree a day – happy days 🙂
Our regular swim to Shelly Beach and back was lovely as usual and we were accompanied by 3 dusky whaler sharks just off the point
A large pod of dolphins cruised along the beach and swam out to the Bower as we enjoyed our apres swim coffee. I’m pretty sure I heard one of them say “see you in the morning at 7am”…
Talking of pods, one of our swimmers suggested yesterday that a group of B&B swimmers should be given the collective noun ‘pod’.
Tomorrow’s Bolderdash looks like being another popular activity, not to be missed in these beautiful flat, warm conditions. So ‘Come on Down’ and join Ragnill Stalvik and Heidi James in their first ever Queensie swim tomorrow morning at 5.50am – 3km there and back, and don’t worry you’ll be back in time for the regular 7am swim so you won’t miss out 😉
Michael Christie took some lovely shots for us from the walkway. It’s great to have a different vantage point for this morning’s photos, but it will be even better to have you back in the water with us tomorrow morning Michael 🙂
As most of you are aware we have another Bold & Beautiful swimmer, Ben Hutt who is following in Collie’s and Iain’s footsteps and is going to swim the English Channel in September 2012 !!
Ben is putting his mammoth challenge to a fantastic cause, by raising money for Opportunity International Australia. To follow Ben’s progress as he trains over the next 10 months and to help support Ben’s charity please visit his website here.
Yesterday’s ‘guess who’ photo was indeed James Goins 🙂
Two of our swimmers, Jules Mackin and Matt Christie completed the Port Macquarie Half Ironman in outstanding times last weekend, ~5hrs 50min and ~5hrs 10min respectively. Well done guys, I’m in awe, I can’t cycle out of Manly or run past the end of the street let alone complete a half ironman. Well Done !!
Tim’s fact of the day: “Oysters make cement to attach themselves to rocks or other Oysters.”
Water Temperature 21.8 degrees.
Air Temperature 24.5 degrees.
Sunrise 5.47am.
Sunset 7.31pm.
High Tide: 8.33am
Low Tide: 3.03pm.

Hey that’s me in Gaetan’s video to the right of the SUPs with dolphins next to me…..fan-bloody-tastic!!!! I went for a quick swim to the Bower on my own and was rewarded with lots and lots of company. Catfish chatting to a stingray and several little sharks off the point WOW!
What’s with the crap in the water off half way beach??? Thought I was swimming in a cloud of building site runoff. Great swim though and Jules I swam at my own risk…see you for a Baldie in the am. ooops now I’m committed

Thanks Gaetan…. I’ll take 2000 copies for my closest friends in the B&B
