126 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Welcome to our 11 new swimmers on the 11th day of the 11th month in the 11th year of this century !!
39 people enjoyed a gorgeous Bolderdash this morning, flying over the sand with a few fiddler rays for company. It was three people’s first time: Cathie Coleman, Heidi James and Ragnill Stalvik. Brilliant ladies !!!
~1/3 of the swimmers continued on for the regular Shelly swim too clocking up 4.5km in the Pacific Challenge, including Cathie who until today had only ever swum 1.5km before… you too can do it !!
The Bolderdash (3km) swims are proving to be oober popular by all levels of swimmers which is awesome. Bob Peterson has been inspired by Neil Cowin and will be swimming his maiden Bolderdash on Monday, awesome Bob !! Any others ??
Our summer badge 6 & 10km swims and adventure swims are gonna be huge – love it !!
The regular 7am swim was fantastic as always with a superb turnout of both swimmers and marine life.
We had a whale breaching out to sea as we entered the water, three dusky whaler sharks, a school of baby maouri wrasse just off Shelly and the resident catfish at the point, just to mention a few. Magic morning 🙂
There is a fantastic enhancement to our daily attendance record courtesy of Magnus Butlin… check it out – it’s seriously cool !!! Do you have a shell, a B or both by your name this morning… ??
Don’t forget 11am today, remembrance for Armistice Day.
Tim’s fact of the day: “The biggest starfish is the sunflower star, it has more than 26 arms.”
Happy birthday to Sandra Sieb today 🙂

Lovely maiden bolderdash swim this morning – thanks to everyone for all the encouragement! I think swimming 4.5km hurts a lot less than running it…
