May 10, 201111

36 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

It might have been raining and pouring all night but the swim was devine, at least for all the stalwarts who got out of bed !!!

Lovely calm swim that was beautifully concluded with a full rainbow as we rounded the point – magic 🙂

Water Temperature 20.4 degrees.
Sunrise 6.36am.
Sunset 5.07pm.
Low Tide: 7.38am.
High Tide: 1.45pm.

What a difference a few hours makes!!
The Inaugural Initiation ceremony of the running of the drown rats took place last night from Manly to Sth Curly. With stinging eyes, head winds, deep puddles and frozen limbs, we ran with much complaining & swearing, but underlying that there was a steely determination to enjoy. Which we only did at the finish. :0)
Bloody awful was the consensus, whose up for the next??
Well done to Anne and Linda for being stuff Rats are made of.

Well done all, I was under Dr’s orders not to attend both the run and the swim. I will be swimming and running next week. Yes Jules, I will swim, I’ve not given up yet.

The drowned rats sounds like fun!! Not as much fun as this morning though which was great.
Tomorrow will be even better with a swell of 1m from the east predicted. It was 3.5m today from the south. Water quality is excellent as is the temperature.
    Dolphins predicted tomorrow.

I am thinking warm yoga would have been much nicer than both running and swimming!
Yes much complaining was made by the Drowned Rats, more like whinging but we did it and wow that was a strong headwind with stinging rain coming back from Queenscliff.
Nicholas are you calling me a rat!!!!
