68 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
Another stunning swim this morning, all bar the Jimbles that is. We arrived to a beautiful sunrise and then enjoyed flat, calm, clearing water with two beautiful Port Jaksons. One Port Jackson was playing with a single Rock Cale, it was really very cute, they honestly looked like they were playing together.
John Bond, Michael Christie and Ricky Facer all completed a second lap this morning, well done guys !
What happened to Mr Baby Whale today, we would soooo love to play with you, PLEASE come and play, PLEASE !!! There maybe over 100 B&B swimmers on Saturday for Iain’s ‘Bon Voyage – Bon Chance’ swim, so it could be the perfect swim for you to join in Mr Baby Whale… !
Ragnill Stallvik and Heidi James are very excited to have completed their 20th winter swim without wetsuits, well done girls !! 🙂
It looks like Robin Turner is suitably proud of his achievement in having completed walking Hadrian’s Wall in 4 and a half days with a great on tour photo at Bowness on Solway ! Uhmm something seems to have happened to him on route… ?!? Well done Rob but nope I’m afraid it’s still not badge worthy 😉
Welcome back to Adam Moore and Bruce Baird today who have both returned from a 3 week holiday, not together I might add, but personally I must say I’m a bit upset with Adam though as he was proudly boasting that he swam with ~100 whale sharks in Mexico, now that is what I call me being very jealous !
A lovely photo of some of our very own cougars taken on Sunday arvo by Deb Hanson, not sure where their pink caps were though 🙂
Happy 25th wedding anniversary to my beautiful Mum and Dad today.

Happy to be back swimming this morning, even if a certain someone is trying to sabotage my winter badge attempt by saying it’s not time to go, look at how rough the surf is, and is that rain I hear, and the pièce de résistance hiding my wetsuit….
Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary Don and Joan!!!! xxxx

What beautiful conditions this morning!! Very flat, warm and even getting a bit clearer. This looks like it will keep on for the predictable future, so make hay while the sun shines!
BTW for that irresponsible person who doubted my temperature reading this morning [you know who you are]… Have a look at the off shore temperature buoy which is sitting on 19c!! Also the BOM graphs and SST graphs all point towards a temp of about 18c.

Why did they need a wall? Who’d they want to keep out or in?
All that effort could have built a wall in a far more attractive place!

Well, the Romans didn’t like a lot of the people North of the wall, thought they were mean, had a funny accent and looked silly in kilts, besides being determined to keep out the dreaded marauding haggis.

I was going to do a couple of laps over to Scotland and back but there was a force 9 gale going on while I was having the photo taken so I actually put my clothes back on and went for a pint. Jane thanks for the defence of English beaches and explanation to Nick about the need for the wall. Nick I was thinking of you with all the stairs. I am in good practice for all the stairs to Curly.
