Over 73 Bold & Beautiful Swimmers and 22 for Bolderdash this morning.
Cloudy with flat calm water and our usual friendly companions 🙂 Photos courtesy of Gaetan.
Greg and Jacob Taylor from Qld are down for a couple of weeks. They swam with us for 2 weeks this time last year, but oh my gosh Jacob, aged 12 has improved, he lead the group this morning… Michel, Rowan you better watch out.
Jacob’s also keen to rack up some Bolderdash swims, followed by his 6km and 10km summer badge before he goes back to Qld – how cool’s that !
That 10km badge is getting a lot of interest… it’s gonna be the badge you just have to have… :-). 6km badge swims every Saturday, next 10km badge swim Saturday 15th January… !
We’re growing exponentially as everyone is hearing about what a great thing we’ve got happening and what a great bunch we are 🙂
Even all our long/adventure swims are growing in popularity which is wonderful, check out Tim’s great video from our New
Year’s Day 6km swim, taken from Queenscliff headland:

We are now soooo well attended everyday it’s fantastic, as so many members of the community participate, some from far afield.
Please can we try to keep the doorway of Manly LSC clear as we congregate and ‘tick’ each morning so people can freely get in and out, thank you very much.
Water Temperature 21.5 degrees.
Sunrise 5.49am.
Sunset 8.10pm.
High Tide: 8.17am.
Low Tide: 3.03pm

Well done Jacob, what a star!
What’s the next 10km going to look like Julie? Wharf to beach? (so many people are also talking about this challenging one!)
Great video Tim, I love your humor 🙂

Well, funny you should mention the Manly to Manly swim….
We’re onto it: Michael’s measured it, as a direct swim, no zigzags it’s 7km.
Now it only leaves the date to be set, coming very soon, watch this space… 🙂

Aaahh only 7km.. So that means going around North Head is NOT on the agenda (What a shame)

Oi you…. what part of it’s NOT on the agenda. If it MUST be a 10km to take your fancy that’s no problem, you can easily tag on a Queensie and back and there ya go – 10km 🙂
How about 7am Saturday 29th January for the ‘Round The Head Super Swim’. You get a tattoo if you complete this adventure… 🙂
Back in time to have brekkie with the 6km swimmers and any other people who would like to form the heroes welcome 🙂
