Paradise remains, it’s unbelievable, still flat, warm and beautifully clear, with a tiny bit of chop. Stunning conditions, with lots of fish and our regular dusky whaler sharks off the point.
Now’s not the time to be having lie ins, it magnificently beautiful !

Thank you for your birthday wishes!
Isn’t 50 the best decade? Or has everyone been telling me fibs?

Ahem! 50 is actually the sixth decade. I’m afraid you missed the fifth.
Happy birthday anyway. Hope you had a great day. Speaking from experience the sixth is ok too.

BTW I actually saw a shark today. One that is. I believe everyone else saw up to 12 in one hit!
It certainly is great, water temp is still 24.5c and clear with flat seas, which will continue into the forseeable future.

Did anyone else see the dusky whaler with the fish hook in it’s mouth attached to a line with a weight on it this morning? I rang Dave Thomas from Eco Divers to let him know so he can look out for it but if anyone sees it please let him know or post a comment about where you saw it. Also, did anyone else notice the horrible smell at Shelly this morning? I rang the EPA Pollution Line 131 555 and reported it so they will get an inspector to check out the North Head Sewage Treatment Plant who have to keep air pollution at set levels. If anyone else smelt it and wants to report it that would be great. My first post! Cheers.

I did indeed noticed that bad smell Rosie.
Whereabouts was that shark exactly? Was it still moving around?

Vanessa saw it and it was moving in the sandy area just off the South Steyne point. Diver Dave says they are very difficult to catch and free from entanglement but he will try and video it (to record effect of recreational fishers discarding hooks etc.)
