Saturday 6 January 2024 – the “secret” is out and swimmer numbers have skyrocketed

By this January people have foudn out that covid restrictions are over and we can swim at 7 am. SO SO many going down the ramp at 7 am that it was almost like a second Drinks Express. The only remnant of covid restrictions are the different caps which I like very much. Message T shirts were a thing when I was young and that is when I locked in my fashion sense.

So many caps with tribe names and different colours. So long as you can be seen, then that is all that is required.

However warm the water, it is not as warm as one’s underarms which have to be lifted to enter last.

Hello to Steve who has started swimming and plans to do more swims – the pink caps are available every day from the great volunteers at the tree near the life saving club before 7 am.
