The excitement of the morning was whales putting on quite the show out to sea, but close enough that we could see the breaches, fin slaps and tail slaps clearly. Everyone was transfixed

Birthday splashes at the Point

In a moment of bravado some of us thought swimming out to the whales was a good idea. We made it to the Bower break and saw a crested horn shark which was lucky considering the visibility today.

What am I listening to? This week I have been reminiscing on my long-ago youth and listening to 70s post punk. I listened to a fabulous Graham Parker and the Rumour cover of a very famous song. Here is the one that inspired their version. Enjoy and have a whale of a weekend
