12/06/2011 – Dark Skies, Bright Faces

12/06/20118

49 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

A wet and cloudy day but the rain kindly abated for the duration of our swim 🙂

The continental drift seems to be quite active at the moment though…. ! For those of you who are wondering what the continental drift is, it’s the pull at the point that just forces people to edge their way towards Shelly as they are trying so hard to wait at the point for everyone !! 😉

Lovely swim this morning, however, despite the clear, flat and relatively warm water Brendan Maher and Michael Christie didn’t see any fish as they were too focused on their synchronized swimming routine all the way back.

To quote Mal Armour “It was bloody great” 🙂

Some entertaining photos today… Including Debbie’s bump which still fits in her wetsuit 🙂

Good luck to one of our swimmers, Gerard Dore who is racing in the 21km soft sand classic today.

Water Temperature 18.8 degrees.
Air Temperature 14 degrees.
Sunrise 6.57am.
Sunset 4.53pm.
Low Tide: 10.42am.
High Tide: 5.17pm.

Dark, wet and cold (in the air). Still, wouldn’t miss it for the world 🙂

Anyone interested in a swim to Queenscliff after Monday’s Shelly swim?

I could be, but I know Vicki Harbutt would love to, as she is in training for a long overseas swim in August.

Nice swim this morning, water is a lot clearer than last week, and almost 2 degrees warmer than 3 days ago.

Chris, Julie and George, have a great time in England. I hope your weather isn’t the same as the weather we’ve got here in Sydney at the moment.
