97 ‘ticked’ Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
There was a little swell as we set off from Manly, but it soon smoothed out for the swim across Cabbage Tree Bay and back albeit a tad chilly as the water temperature has dropped a little.
There was lots of activity with our dusky whaler sharks, a lovely large eagle ray, a super sized grouper and another unicorn leatherjacket and a juvenile port jackson off the point.
A couple of people jumped in early for an enjoyable Bolderdash and around 10 swimmers continued of for a double lap of Shelly.
Four great photos courtesy of James Goins this morning, plus one of him on location for one of his shots 🙂
Check out below an action shot of Ian Paul arriving into Shelly and Timberlie looking very proud of himself as he chooses to swim the return leg especially as his buddies have chosen to walk.
Peter Wood cooked the most amazing fruit cake for Bruce that we all devoured at brekkie this morning. It really was devine, and guess what… he is cooking us another one for our Christmas morning post swim byo BBQ brekkie at Shelly Beach !!!
Good luck to Manly’s Inflatable Boat Race this morning.
Tim’s fact of the day: “Catfish have sharp spines in their fins. These spines stick into any creature
that handles or tries to swallow the catfish.”

My daughter is coming over here from LA for the birth of her baby at Manly Hospital in March. Would anyone be able to lend us a bassinet and pram (preferably with baby facing Mum/Dad/Granny) while she is here – about 6 weeks I expect? Many many thanks in anticipation!
