At least 121 cold and beautiful swimmers on this sunny Saturday morning
Not long to go now until daylight saving ends, so another week of pretty dawns, then some more light again to send us on the right course to Shelly Beach.
There must’ve been something wrong with the camera or the technology somewhere… ehem… as the hundreds of photos I took on the ramp before departure + all the pics of our lovely ten new swimmers could not be found. (Sorry!) I hope Julie will be able to retrieve them from the mysterious depths of the digital chambers, otherwise please get a new photo taken by Julie next time you swim.
So for some reason, the first photos from our morning’s adventure are from Shelley Beach, but darn good they are though.
Gotta love these heart warming smiles so early in the chilly morning. And remember this is all before coffee.

I should’ve brought my reading glassses on the swim so I could see the reset button for underwater pics. I hope you can still see the big blue groper in the last of the photos above.

Jane, Michael and Shane looking good in the glorious morning light (and otherwise too of course).
It takes sixty seconds to pick up this much rubbish from the ocean. It might just save a turtle, making the rubbish collection very worth while, eh?

The water was actually quite warm, it was the autumn air that seemed to make us shiver today. But a stunning morning it was indeed, and you’ll be pleased to know your expert blogger and photographer Ms Isbill will be back on deck again tomorrow 🙂
Enjoy your Saturday!

Lovely pics and commentary Anna, and well done on the cleaning-up.
I was doing the dance of a thousand pinpricks while getting up close with nosy duskies.

Absolutely well done Anna, you’re a marvel, no doubt about it!!
What a great morning! Five of us went to Freshwater and back after the 7am swim and it was just stunningly beautiful conditions.
It should be even better tomorrow if that’s possible.

Tres bon blog Anna 🙂
Michael it just can’t get better! Everything was indeed wonderful this morning, the color of the sky before/during sunrise, the flat ocean, the sunshine, the people, the coffee….. there is room for improvement though, specially when it comes to water clarity!
Can’t wait till tomorrow!

Tomorrow the swell will have HALVED! The sun will be shining and the offshore sea temperature has gone up to 23c plus!
Too good. I’ll be down early for a 6.30 in the water. Anyone else keen???
Remember you only have next week to experience the GHOST TRAIN and then daylight saving ceases next Saturday night.

Great camera work Anna. Attracta (the Irish fish), Mahdi and I were too warm to get out of the water this morning…sure was a nippy breeze blowing along Victoria Pde. Gorgeous morning.
I’m off to swim Balmoral 1km tomorrow without my fins!!!
