185 Bold & Beautiful swimmers splash out with a new winter record!
To enjoy another beautiful day in paradise together, with more idyllic conditions.
183 swimmers, seriously that is amazing by anyone’s standard and in mid-winter too – Oh My Goodness, that is incredible !!!

Some people just can’t contain their excitement

It’s hardly surprising with such a superb morning and dolphins right at the point just before we entered the water too !

It’s wonderful to see Anne Edwards back in the water swimming with us after her back surgery 🙂
And cheerio to Little Sarah and Jon Abbott as they head back to Hong Kong for another stint, not for too long we hope.

Collie is out in the bay swimming 20 laps over ~12 hours today, Ben is doing at least half of it with him as they are both training for their up coming Solo English Channel swims. You can see their feeding tent and support crew sent up on Shelly Beach for the day, so please jump in any time throughout the day to keep them company for a lap or two, they will definitely be most grateful and happy to see you.

Ted did well to spot this whopper of a Wobbegong which was busy masquerading as rock amongst the kelp.

Look again, he’s definitely there… a little easier to see in this photo below maybe

A whopping 15 swimmers continued on to enjoy a double lap this morning too !

Oh… did I mention 49 of us swam with a whale this week !!! 😉 Just in case you did manage to miss it make sure you scroll back through the blog posts this week to see it, it was unbelievable 🙂

Thx Jules, Alyson and everyone for making our stays in Manly so wonderful and memorable. Special thanks to all my patient swimming partners. Greg today for both legs:-)
At breakfast yesterday we were talking about swimming without goggles – yes some of us grew up this way amazingly! Fact: “Largely unknown until the 1970s – Olympians weren’t even allowed to wear them until 1976.”
And yes, some of us really were there with beautiful Mrs Whale. Lesley, pls adapt the nice pic Jules took of me today to make it clear to all that “I was there”:-) Really hope the W W/o W swimmers are with her next time!
And yes, we can’t wait to be back already…… xxx Sarah & Jon

Sarah and Jon, don’t say you won’t be there tomorrow…wish you could be with us all the time. How can Hong Kong compare with Manly!Hurry back soon!
Looked like another superb swim again today. Wonder what will be in store for us tomorrow after a week of whales, seals, wobbegongs and Port Jacksons! How lucky are we?

Plenty of other B&B swimmers popped down throughout the day to show their support and help keep morale high.
