114 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
delighting in a picture perfect morning, both above and below the water 🙂

You’d get more ripples in the bath than out in the bay today, making Cathy for one, very happy !

Cathy is one of our new sponsors, from Pearls de Tahiti making her own beautiful pearly jewellery. It’s worth a look, check it out here Enter B&B at the online checkout to take advantage of our exclusive 15% discount !! I’ve already marked out my Christmas present to myself 🙂
Time to come up for air as we gather at the point

With 4 Port Jacksons cruising around together just off the rocks and perfect visibility the whole way across.
What a beautiful swim !
It’s a good job we get a rest at Shelly as Andy ‘made’ his son, Sean (below) swim the whole way back butterfly !

Meanwhile some of us were cruising looking for our fishie friends. Finding these two gorgeous wobbegongs. On both of which you can see, as Fifi correctly pointed out the other day, those little white dots on their head are not their eyes. They mark the corner of their crescent-shaped spiracles which draw in water, allowing them to breath without moving. Their eyes sit slightly further forward and are raised to give them better vision 🙂

Just as we got out of the water a pod of dolphins cruised past the point to join the 14 double lap swimmers (who didn’t seem them I might add), so a few of us jumped back in to try to capture some photos for you, but all we got was this jimble…

Happy birthday to Vanessa Wilton today 🙂

Congratulations to Iain who successfully completed his swim from Palm Beach to Manly yesterday with the support of Nicole, Gaetan, James, Cae, Miles, Rob and co… and a proud welcoming committee to great them all at the finish 🙂 Gaetan has kindly put together an album of photos taken throughout the swim which you can view here

well done Iain! A few suggestions for your next swims:
1- North Head round trip (Manly, Little Manly, Manly), about 16km
2- La Perouse to Manly (same distance as Palm Beach Manly, about 26/27km)
3- Newcastle Manly (about 100km)
4- Dover Manly (about 22.000km)
Good luck 🙂

Just wondering if anyone is doing a 0630 lap tomorrow or does one just happen pretty much everyday? Thanks!

Hi Dave, there are usually a few keen early swimmers doing the 6.30am lap most mornings these days 🙂
