84 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
One of the best parts of our daily swim is the chance to catch up with friends, both new and old.
It looks like this photo is taken of a group of swimmers standing in front of a picture of Manly, but no, this is the reality of how beautiful it actually is here at 6.50am in winter ! Not bad hey… wish you were here ?? 😉

If you need to rush off to work there’s nearly always someone swimming the dawn lap, in the water by 6.30am, that way you’re back in time to join in a second lap with the regular 7am swimmers too if you choose.
Or if you’re not in a rush, you can always join in for a double after the 7am lap, as 5 swimmers did today.

It’s hard to believe it’s not summer when you look at this beautiful sky

Not quite so hard to believe when you get in the water though…
What happened Nick ? Did something fall off ??

If you’d prefer to fly, it’s best to dry your wings first…

Thanks Ian for the clarification on exactly where ‘the point’ is 😉

Michelle’s got the hang of it, making sure she’s in line with that first telegraph pole 🙂

John’s standing proud having completed 68 out of a total 81 winter swims so far, all without wetsuit !!

There’s only 11 days of winter left to go too… today is the start of the 13th week (the last full week) of winter.
148 swimmers have currently qualified for their winter badge so far ! With another 31 on target and another 58 who need to swim soon to make sure they don’t miss out…

Winter or Summer it doesn’t matter to us, we enjoy our swim every day.
With plenty of time for a cuddle or two at Shelly

Ian for one won’t let an opportunity slip him by 🙂

So I hate my new goggles – does anyone want to buy them off me? Coz I can’t return them – they are Aquasphere mask things. I bought them on Saturday for $50 – but can do special deal 🙂
Here they are on my head (far left):

I bought them for vanity reasons – ie, so they wouldn’t leave goggles marks!! And they didn’t!! but swimming in them is not so good for me – BUT heaps of others who have them say they are great!
ps. swim great today – except for the goggles 🙂

Was unable to attend the swim this morning, but took a board out later in the morning for some paddling. Blue skies, clean clear water – wonderful conditions.
