92 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
Some of those lovely dawn colours to remind us that it really is still winter

and just in case you still had any doubt… 😉

Elaine K gives it the thumbs up though, something to do with the wetsuit maybe ?

We’re getting down to the business end of our 2012 winter badge now… with only 10 days to go !
Another 4 people qualified today, including Heidi

bringing the new totals so far to 152 swimmers currently qualified, with another 25 on target and another 52 who need to swim very soon to make sure they don’t miss out…
To check out how you’re going towards your winter badge please click here
There were some more different jellies in the bay this morning, very pretty and they didn’t sting at all 🙂

and soooooo many salps, you could almost walk on the water at Shelly it was so thick

bringing out that good ole brotherly, sisterly love 😉

Lesley also found this little brown jelly too, who also didn’t sting 🙂
Maybe they made the Luderick itchy as they were giving themselves a little scratch on the sand 🙂

Some Rock Cale too, now this time they really are Rock Cale…

and a beautiful estuary catfish, now known as as an estuary cobbler, foraging between the sea grass.

4 swimmers continued on for a double lap and 2 of those further still for a triple.
If you think some of our swims and swimmers are adventurous, check this out… Diana Nyad, aged 62 is currently 46 miles into a swim from Havana in Cuba to Key West in Florida !
Click here for her latest update, note that she’s being stung by jimbles too!

So excited to have made my twenty swims this morning. Massive credit and thank you to Ian and Pauline Forster who recognised that transport to Manly was challenging for me following back surgery. Ian has driven me to the beach for many mornings over the past weeks. Thank you so, so much, Ian. And thanks to everyone who has been so encouraging to me. Cheers!

Well done Anne… and you swam into the beach today! 🙂
ooh a whale badge alongside my WWW!!
THat brown jelly fish was actually a big brown golly someone spat in the water..eeeuuwww – just kidding!! It was a weird one though it had side tentacles and didn’t sting. I DID get a doozy sting by a jimble this morning across my chin and it really hurt BUT by the end of the swim there was not a mark to be seen! I wonder if I am now fully immune like Shirley?? 😀
Conditions are EXCELLENT at the moment!!
