23/08/2012 – A Little Disheveled

23/08/20129

72 Bold & Beautiful swimmers enjoyed a Rock ‘n Roll swim

The sand was the only smooth thing out there this morning

and even that was deceiving… as it was actually salp city

There was a whole lotta chop making people hip hop 😉

It was certainly a fun swim out to the point, there was much more laughing than swimming going on

as we all made our way up and down the rolling aqua mountains

There were beautiful clear patches where the Estuary Catfish (Cobbler) and the Eastern Fiddler Ray were out basking

and other patches where you could have walked on water… apparently salps can double their population in a day.  Yep, I’m pretty sure they are…

In true B&B style, there is always someone who is coming up with the latest fashion innovation.  This morning was Isabel D with the B&B swim visor…

and Lesley with the latest in apres swim attire…

A couple of swimmers toughed it out up to Queensie and 4 enjoyed the dawn lap into Shelly, but funnily enough there were no takers for the double after the regular swim.

Some more great photos courtesy of Stephen

Plus, check this out for a great feature on Stephen’s new toy… both photos were taken at brekkie this morning…

GUESS WHO ???

OK for Trifecta Jules. Now in England, pouring as usual, but we brought glorious (Australian) weather to Ireland. Looking forward to getting back into the swim soon.
