03/09/2012 – Nothing in the water but sunrays!

A cozy 52 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers

Lovely and flat and still and looking so welcoming!

Early lappers just arriving back…

Not 1 BUT 2 super-cute babies today – Lilou and  Brigitte!! I wonder what they were thinking? 😀

The anticipated “dread” walk into the cold water!! But today was so lovely and flat it wasn’t too unbearable!

Heading out to the point – gotta be quick at the moment – no lingering – because John K waits for no stragglers/late comers!

The swim over there was very little in the water – no salps, no jimbles, no seaweed!!

A very quick stop at Shelly – for me and Princess Pete at least, who by the way had a collision with a board rider! (no pics unfortunately!)

The stingarees are a constant presence on our swims – especially around the point and near the beach! This particularly one is very unusual looking!

If you do back stroke into the beach this is the view! not bad!

Looking good Paige, all that running and swimming is paying off!

Wilf has a little system going for warming up after the swim – pour hot water into a plastic container then dip your hands in!
Water temp: 15.8/7 – it kept changing!
Air temp: around 14
Great swim – great morning! See you all tomorrow! Lesley 🙂

    Awesome, awesome, awesome.
Sydneysider Stuart Johnson and sometime training companion of Bold and Beautiful channel aspirants is underway on his somewhat candelstine attempt at a triple crossing of the English Channel. Stuart is a lovely guy-part of the innugaral group attempt at the PalmyManlySwim, there has only been 3 people successfully done a triple crossing in the 137? year history. It will probably take him a minimum 36 hrs- meaning something like midnight Tuesday night he might finish.
    Go Stewie baby, go!

Having swum a few times with Stuart I can say that he is a awesome swimmer. Stuart was the first Aussie and 2nd person ever to complete a double channel crossing as their first attempt at the English channel!
Brilliant swimmer and hope that all goes well and the weather gods are kind between Dover and Calais

That abstract shot of the water is really wonderful Lesley.
