64 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
Soak up another beautiful day in paradise !

No stingers, just a totally sun-drenched bay 🙂

It’s true the winter badge challenge is sadly over, but we would still
love you to tick your name off on the sheets (or add it again if it’s been a few weeks since your last swim) each and every time you come down for
a swim as it helps us with our daily numbers on the daily attendance and goes towards your own
journey on our Pacific Challenge… If you haven’t seen it yet it’s
pretty damn cool, check it out here… so PLEASE keep ticking, thank you 🙂

15 swimmers enjoyed a 6.30 dawn lap into Shelly, with a few others
setting off even early to get up to Queensie and back before joining us
for the regular 7am lap, they’re the ones looking a tad chilly above 😉
Our Hawaii contingent seem to be struggling to re-climatise too, all in their rubber suits.

Only 3 swimmers continued on for a double this
morning, must be that damn work thing getting in the way.
An Australian swimmer, Trent Grimsey broke the record for crossing the English Channel last week, in a fantastic time of 6 hours 55minutes !! To read more click here (thanks for sending through the link Gaetan).
Collie and James are enjoying sharing in the local knowledge of the Channel at Varne Ridge.

Collie is currently waiting for better weather, which seems unlikely from these photos, but its simply crap out in the channel and unfortunately not due to change for a bit. Collie and James are keeping themselves at the ready though. A full lap of Dover Harbour is 2.6kms, just like doing a Queensie lap. They’ve been going out at night (for a swim that is) but yesterday was their first swim in daylight ! They are extremely grateful of everyone’s support, please keep everything crossed for a break in the weather for Colliedog!
You can see Collie’s in good spirits and up to his usual tricks 🙂

Ben’s last swim with us before he leaves to take on the English Channel solo is this coming Saturday, 15th September ! So please
come down to create a farewell good luck ring for Ben to be surrounded by at the point as we wish him farewell and all the best of luck for a successful channel
crossing !! 🙂
Some more photos of yesterday’s badge ceremony courtesy of Stephen.

Which Sharon was disappointed to miss, as she contemplated a swim in the Yarra River, Melbourne…

Fantastic this morning and evidently will be even better [if that’s possible] tomorrow. Flat, full sun, clear and warm water.

Miles you’d make a very attractive female – look at the pose and do you have lip gloss on??!! 😛

thank you for the compliment Lesley. Anyway that’s my ‘frosty nuts’ pose, I’ve been working on it all winter. No lip-gloss, I’d probably just kissed a lubed-up newbie. Dunno who, I don’t bother with names anymore.

Breakfast was great. We had three doctors there to revive all the girls who fainted.

Michael, when you say “warm water”, how do you define “warm”. Do you mean “not hot”? or something else?
