One vibrant, happy group ? Yeh 🙂

It was a lovely swim, with only a couple of stingers, but those couple were real doozies.  All adding to the ‘fun’ of course, making us feel even more tough for enjoying our daily morning swims 😉

Kisses, smiles, handshakes, waves, cuddles and a little equipment adjustment too.  Love our half way camaraderie at Shelly 🙂

A few important reminders of upcoming activities:

• Ben’s last swim with us before he leaves to take on the English Channel solo is this coming Saturday, 15th September !  So
  please
  come down to create a farewell good luck ring for Ben to be surrounded
  by at the point as we wish him farewell and all the best of luck for a
  successful channel
  crossing !! 🙂

• Please come down for a B&B swim this Sunday, regular time of 7am, to be part of a photo shoot for a Telegraph commercial this Sunday morning !! 🙂

• B&B have a team in the Manly Relay for Life this Weekend, where 15 of us are
  participating in an 18 hour walk to raise funds and awareness for cancer
  research.  So please feel free to pop down to Keirle
  Park any time too keep us company, or if you would like to sponsor our
  team you can do so here

• Please join us at
  Murray’s in Manly tomorrow from 6.30pm to enjoy a special B&B
  evening with happy hour priced house beer and wine and complementary
  nibbles to share. You can stay for
  dinner too if you wish, as Murray’s are also offering B&B swimmers
  10% discount on all food at all times when you show your B&B discount card (which you can get from me any morning at swimming).  It will be a regular monthly occasion, held on the second Wednesday
  of every month !  We’ll be gathered at the back to the left of the bar,
  so please come
  down and enjoy a cool drink with your fellow swimmers.

• Next monthly B&B special $20 Bluewater dinner is on Monday 24th September, bookings are essential so please book in here asap.

• Manly Environment Centre are offering specific training for people who are interested in becoming ‘Friends of Cabbage Tree Bay’.  They would love it if there were a couple of volunteers from B&B as we participate in a daily ‘patrol’ of the bay.  If you are keen please contact them directly to find out more on: 9976 2842 or mec@manly.nsw.gov.au
