12/09/2012 – Salps, Jimbles and much more!

12/09/201214

101 Bold and Beautiful Swimmers!

Happy Birthday Jenny Menzies, looking cheeky 3rd from left, is joined by the regular gang…Ian snuck in too of course! 😀

A calm morning – the water feels slightly warmer!!

Bruce looking very tanned!

Fiona’s ‘little’ jimble sting from yesterday! It goes all the way around her neck! I think she beat me for ‘worse jimble sting”!

There were rumours going around of many jimbles…people were scared..but we saw that Fiona had gone back in again (after yesterday) and she said she didn’t get hit by them, and chances of getting another hit like above is very slim unless your name is Tim Ettle!

Alex coming in from the earlier swim down playing the jimble situation!

Big pocket of salps on the way to Shelly..

Nice and clear in the water!

Some fun little waves coming back in…

Recent newcomer Robbie had a twinkle in his eye this morning – said he would be smiling all day because he swam all the way from Shelly to the beach for the first time! (usually he goes in at half way) – he will be asleep by 10.30 this morning I bet!

The whole of Bluewater sang happy birthday to Jenny and here she is with her cake!

Below some great photos from swimmer Simon Cowell …

REMEMBER TONIGHT IS MURRAY’S NIGHT!! BE THERE OR MISS OUT ON A GREAT TIME! 😀

…..from 6.30pm to enjoy a special B&B evening with happy hour priced house beer and wine and complementary nibbles to share. Here’s details of where they are: click here

You can stay for dinner too if you wish, as Murray’s are also offering B&B swimmers 10% discount on all food at all times when you show your B&B discount card (which you can get from me any morning at swimming).  It will be a regular monthly occasion, held on the second Wednesday of every month !  We’ll be gathered at the back to the left of the bar, so please come down and enjoy a cool drink with your fellow swimmers.

Air temp: A lovely warm ‘above’ 12

Sunrise: 5.57am

Sunset: 5.44pm – 12 hours of sun!
