Over 88 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
Enjoy that time again – 7am, swim time 🙂

That equals smile time

We’re so lucky, it’s just beautiful out in the ocean early in the mornings before the wind gets up and the chop sets in. It’s the best part of the day, and definitely the best way to start any day.

A nice amount of exercise, plus catching up with friends and family and all before work.
Brother and sister, Andy and Vicki were missing there other B&B swimming sister, Mahdi this morning.

It seems that today’s the day if you’re thinking of giving things up… Anne Edwards gave up her walking stick (post back surgery) and is working her way up towards a double lap !! 🙂

and Rob and Emer both gave up their flippers !!

If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em… another team wave to finish this morning’s beautiful swim 🙂

It’s the Equinox tomorrow, so we will have equal day and night. After that it’s more light than dark, the days are getting longer – yeh !!!
Upcoming B&B Fundraiser:
As you know participating in B&B is free to all, but there are a lot of costs and work involved behind the scenes so thanks to the Steyne Hotel we will be hosting a fundraising event to help towards these costs at the end of October !! This is likely to be in the form of a dinner and trivia night again, but details will be finalised and announced very shortly, so please keep your eye on the blog for more info soon !! In the meantime however, if you, or anyone you know, would like to donate prizes that would be sensational and certainly most appreciated, so please let us know, thank you.
Happy birthday to Jane Stevenson today 🙂
Don’t miss out on our other upcoming B&B social functions…
- Next monthly B&B special $20 Bluewater dinner is this coming Monday,
24th September at 6.30pm. Bookings are essential so please book in here asap.
- October’s monthly happy hour drinks and nibbles at Murray’s is on Wed 10th Oct, so please rsvp here and come and join in the fun.

Thanks Jules, its tough without those flippers!! Hopefully do our first full swim on Saturday morning over and back. Cant believe we have gone from struggling to do 25m in a pool a short time ago to over 1km in the ocean, but its mainly down to the support of everyone in the group (Especially my mentor John!!) for us newbies and we have enjoyed every bit of it.

Was hoping to join the rockstars tomorrow on a queensie lap, but reports indicate they are heading to curl curl at 5.20am. So Nicole and I are meeting at 6am and if anyone wants to come they are more than welcome. Cae? Will you be rocketing to curl curl with the heat seeking missile? John Storch? Jim?
Also, a question: I am now decorarted with red spots as well as lacerations and tentacle marks… Has anyone else found sea lice bites, have I just attracted yet another coelenterate species, or is this some sort of sick, post-jimble trauma JOKE ? 😉

I get lots of red spot bites most days. I thought it must be sea lice. I have found that lavender oil cuts the itching short otherwise it can be itchy for a week!
