Over 200 Bold & Beautiful swimmers
made a solid chain from the shoreline to the point

everyone was loving the 20 degree water. Notice there’s so many fewer air pianos being played 😉

Maybe that’s ‘cos everyone was enjoying pointing the 20 new swimmers in the right direction.

The best way to get in though is by keeping your arms as high as possible, for as long as possible 😉

Turn sideways for the waves

and smile, smile, smile 🙂

Next thing you know you’re right at the point.

Nick’s enjoying swimming with us every morning whilst he’s here on holiday for a week. 2 of his have tattoos have featured in the blog so far. Are there any more ?

It’s so much more peaceful swimming when the water’s warm 🙂

To be fair though, every single swim is so wonderful it all merges into one big happy blur

We currently have a DA in for the expansion of Shelly Beach 😉

We’re getting so big we’re bursting out of our caps…

A superb morning for your first swim back Jane. Welcome back 🙂

Everything was just perfect !

Except for this poor injured 3-barred porcupine fish. Very sad 🙁

There were also 10 Bolderdashers, a few early lappers, 12 doublers continuing on after the regular swim and 3 of those tripled.
All this was followed by sparkling water celebrations for Mary as she submitted her Masters thesis yesterday and swam wetsuitless today 🙂

A couple of Must Sees ! Gaetan’s videos from yesterday:
- The best footage of a blind shark here, taken as he snorkeled yesterday arvo
- Proof that if you swam with us yesterday morning you DID swim with dolphins here
Whilst you’re in the mood for ‘watching’, check out the Daily Telegraph’s beautiful footage as they capture our story of B&B here

Julie, it seems to me, has been something of a saviour to many Bold & Beautiful swimmers in various ways and as I was swimming merrily along to-day I was reminded of a chorus from “The Messiah” which adapted for the occasion would go like this:
“And Jules gave the Word – Let’s Go!” Great was the company of the swimmers, great was the company of the swimmers, of the swimmers.” Of course, there are many long and glorious Handellian runs of notes which challenge the lungs and breath of the choristers… Thank you, Jules – swimming is great for we singers. If anyone reads this in time and is keen enough – The Willoughby Choir is performing the Messiah at The Concourse, Chatswood this afternoon at 2 p.m.

What fantastic videos. Thank you Gaetan. I had no idea there were dolphins around us yesterday as I had my head down around the rocks looking for fish! Think the Dolphin Whisperer formerly known as Slowest Shaun is trying to take credit again!
Jenny, maybe that is what I’m doing wrong, not singing when I’m swimming. Will try anything to try and get faster!
Another amazing swim. A lot of people must have forgotten to tick off as there seemed a good 40 or so more than yesterday. Enjoy this beautiful day folks!

Congratulations Mary on your first ‘naked’ swim for the season.[See it wasn’t too bad was it?] And also on the completion of your thesis. We can all give a sigh of relief!
I have to congratulate Sam too on ditching the wetsuit. Although she did winge a bit, but she got better as the day progressed. Well done Sam.

I couldn’t figure out why I had gotten so low these past few weeks, so I decided to swim to the start of the group when waiting at “the point” and soon realized I probably hadn’t gotten much slower, it’s just a case of everyone waiting half way to Shelly these days 😉 hope your butt is ok Jane, that will teach you to tell blue bottle to kiss your ass 😉
