92 Beautiful and Bold Swimmers
To spice things up (for me at least) I found this ‘mirroring’ option on my photo edit software! So some of the photos are as if Manly was on the west coast!
Eerie conditions today – but the water was just lovely and welcoming! With a perfect wave!

Keeping an eye out for his ‘owner’!

…some perfect waves!

Believe it or not there ARE less and less wetsuits..but it’s still cold getting in..hence the ‘arms in the air’ poses…(by the way I saw Chris Kiely sneak in without his wetsuit on – first time in almost a YEAR…’so blinding…my eyes my eyes’!)

Jules pretending to drive a car..

Mirrored Shelly!!

Great fun waves to bring us back in…

A shovel nose shark was spotted and I also saw about 5 dusky sharks! Lots of baby fish out there too!
Time to play!
Guess the moustache owner!

And a play on ‘words’ below: what is the word? hehehe

Photos from other swimmers:
Simon Cowell for the Bolderdash:
“I photographed 8 bolderdashians before they took off from the point
at 5.55am. In addition at least another 3 swimmers took a route to QC that
was closer to the shore. As often happens a slightly different group of 8 arrived at QC.There was no noticeable current in either direction so most of the group arrived back at Sth Steyne before 7am”.

And from Stephen Coulter – some amazing ‘eerie’ shots…esp. last photo, that has to be the best, most flattering shot anyone has ever taken of me!

The mirrored photos totally flip me out. Clever !
Love the dramatic setting on Stephen’s photos. It looks so cool. It makes it look so eerie when it wasn’t at all, and I thought the camera never lied.
Reckon I’m driving a sit on tractor not a car !
Am I allowed to guess the mo’s ?? PLEASE, PLEASE !!

the flippy-trippy photos are so weird, they make me a bit dizzy!
and are you being attacked from underneath the water Lesley…? Did it hurt?
Simon, a fair summary of your B’dash report is: ‘a high proportion of today’s B’dashers safely got out of the water.’ Presumably the rest are at Whale Beach, whale-watching?
And is the play on words something to do with dolphins?

Some one say Dolphins? Have I told you my Dolphin story Lesley?
E-Laine, I missed you today. I missed your shining face in the morning. (mental note- E-Laine now blogs and has a camera, must be nice, must be nice) – Cant wait for tomorrow.
Great Blog Lesley, you AND Jules are looking great. It must be the something in the water you all are swimming in.
btw – the spotting of the shovel nosed shark this morning may be confused with a flat head. We generally dont do sharks here. hahaha

Love the mirror photos and the inky black ones. 1. Ghandi, 2. Swedish chef, 3. Mark Spitz (of course) and 4. either Waldorf or Magnum PI without touch up.

hahaha JS
Fifs, as the odds on favourite to take out the last position, the question is what time is the DW going to finish. Im guessing some time between 11am and 12.
That is of coarse if I don’t cramp out at the 6K mark where I will be trying not to look like a whale carcus washing up on the rocks.
Can some one please organise a swimmers tunnel, the state police band and a ticker tape parade up the corso If I get over the 10km line.
(I know, I might get lucky and just get a jelly snake if I can remember to put one in the car)
I hope that answers your question Fifs, Are you going to join us?????

hmmm…you make the prospect so irrestistable Whispering Shauny. More than three hours in the water and then a ticker tape parade at the end.
Also the North Curl Curl swim is on saturday morning…a mere 2km. we should have factored that into proceedings!
